Welcome Book Lovers

When I come across a great book, I love to pass it on. That is where this group comes in! If you are like me, you are always reading a good book and searching for the next great one to start on! Let's share our thoughts and resources on parenting books, bible studies, commentaries, adventurous fiction and anything else in between ! Here we can share thoughts on what we are reading, make recommendations, post up titles that we would like to exchange, and whatever else we want it to be.

So here are the rules:

1) If you have a book you would like to recommend, put up a message on it.

2) If you are reading something great, tell us about it!

3 ) If you are looking for a particular title, post a request to see if someone has it and is willing to exchange.

4) Books with inappropriate content or photographs are not allowed (please keep it clean and family friendly-no pornography, anti-christian content, etc.)

5) Please keep in mind that this is an EXCHANGE program and no money will change hands. When two parties agree to exchange books each person will pay the shipping to send the book to other party (media mail makes it the least expensive) It will all balance out in the end.

6) The ECM Network is not responsible for exchange disputes or liabilities, all exchanges are agreements between the parties involved (i know we can all play fair and be adults :)

Comment by Doretta Mills on October 11, 2009 at 1:00pm: I am currently reading 2 books. One is "The Noticer" by Andy Andrews and the other book is Terror by Night. This is a true story about a man who loses his family through a home invasion and his only surviving daughter is arrested for involvement in the crime. It combines 2 of my favorite genres--true crime and christian nonfiction. I highly recommend both of these books to anyone who loves to read as much as I do.

Both ladies are wonderful, godly, genuine women. Truly everyday Christian moms, just like us! Both books are super, really they are! Both these ladies are accomplished authors with several books to their name. Check them out!

I can relate to "pressing pause", there are so many good books to explore out there, I just want to read them all at once!

Comment by Ashley Taylor on January 18, 2009 at 11:23am: I finally got Cast Of Characters by Max Lucado from the Library. So many people have requested it that I can only have it for 3 weeks. So I am pressing pause on Come Thirsty to read Cast Of Characters and will go back to Come Thirsty later.

I just got back from MOPS where we had a WONDERFUL speaker, Janell Rardon. She is the author of a book called Rock Solid Families. You can read more about her and the book at www.janellrardon.com
I will start reading the book after I finish "The Shack" but from her presentation, I think it will be a great read (she is very dynamic and real) with a deep biblical root.

Comment by Amber Vlangas on January 6, 2009 at 8:22am: I have always enjoyed Bodie and Brock Thoene the Zion Covenant Series, it is historical christian fiction set in WWII. The first book is Vienna Prelude. It is quite compelling, but be prepared to want to read the whole series if you start :)
